Deputy Prime Minister observed MAST’s Project on Digital Artisanal Fisheries
On May 2, 2018, H.E. General Chatchai Sarikulya, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, and his working team for the eradication of IUU fishing, including the Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, visited Ban Toong Noi in Prachuap Kirikhan, where MAST has launched the Pilot Project on “Digital Artisanal Fisheries’.
The deputy prime minister observed the first of its kind “Fishery Monitoring Center at Community Level." MAST will work further to promote sustainable seafood and prevent IUU by engaging the coastal communities and the government for systematic monitoring model.
