The Multi-Stakeholder Initiative for Accountable Supply Chain of Thai Fisheries or MAST was established in March 2016 as a coalition to address the root causes of human trafficking and IUU fishing in the Southeast Asia fishing sector with a collaborative, constructive approach.
MAST combines the expertise of experienced on-the-ground experts from civil society with well-regarded professional consultancies to activate robust positive solutions for fisher communities. MAST aims to work with civil society, businesses, and governments to move toward real change with better living conditions for workers and fishers. Our ultimate goal is to create thriving fisher communities that promote sustainable fishery, providing consumers with ethically-sourced and seafood that is free from forced and slave labor. In September 2018, The Multi-Stakeholder Initiative for Accountable Supply Chain of Thai Fisheries has been registered as a nonprofit social venture in Thailand under the name "MAST Human"to be reflection of our commitment to work for better protect.
At MAST Human, we continue working to uphold our principle to protect the vulnerable and trafficked by putting every effort to counter all forms of trafficking, including forced labor in the business supply chain and child online exploitation. Our vision is to use technology to counter human trafficking and forced labor in Southeast Asia.

Using Technology to PREVENT child online Sexual exploitation
As we commit to protecting the most vulnerable from being exploited, in 2022, MAST has taken a leap step in partnering with Parental Values and Privacy Vaults Online launching a new initiative for better protection of child online exploitation through the use of mobile-phone technology.
MAST will do its part in raising awareness by working with the government, communities, academics, families, and children in Thailand.

marine conservation
to address the root cause of human trafficking through community resilience and marine conservation activities, i.e. crab banks and fish sanctuaries, to recover the abundance and species diversified in the Gulf of Thailand.
MAST supports the coastal communities in Thailand in running crab banks and fish sanctuaries to increase fish stock and marine diversity. MAST-supported crab banks that were initiated in 2018 are still running as of today. The crab banks become the coastal community learning centers for sustainable fisheries and the centers continue doing marine conservation activities further with young generations.
